Dear Beak n Wings members, volunteers, donors, and supporters,

Beak n Wings is a 501c3 non-profit organization. We received this status in 2005.

We have had the pleasure of knowing some of the best people in the bird world through the years. They were/are so caring and wonderful to the birds. So many of these people were/are part of Beak n Wings. These great people continue to come in to help Beak n Wings and our birds.

I would like to welcome you to Beak n Wings. This has been a long road for the organization. Beak n Wings will turn 25 years old on January 1, 2024! We could not have done it without the help of our members, volunteers, donors and supporters; past and present. Thank you all very much.

Beak n Wings is currently lining up more events for 2024. We are looking to set up at other venues so that the public can ask questions so that they can care for their own birds better and maybe see a parrot in real life.

Beak n Wings holds social events at our facility in Lenexa, KS. Members can earn Birdie Bucks by volunteering at events. You can cash them in on some bird adoptions, toys, and other items.

We are always looking for volunteers to help out at our facility. We offer opportunities such as cleaning cages and floors, light dusting from all the bird dander, and caring for the birds. Bird care involves handling, feeding, and watering. We are also looking for tradesmen such as a plumber, electrician, and builder etc. to help with repair and changes within the facility. Beak n Wings operates on donations from the public, our fundraising events, adoptions of birds, and the sale of small items from our facility. Please note that Beak n Wings is NOT a pet store. We do not sell bird food; we have a small selection of toys for sale, and used cages.

We offer our Basic Bird Care 101 class, which is required for adoption. We also hold an Advanced Bird Care Class. We groom birds on site, we can show you how to handle or hold your bird. 

We are currently lining up live speakers for each month in 2024. We hope you can attend some of them.

Donations: 

Q: Are you able to take donations such as cages, toys, food?            

A: Yes, we can. We take new or used toys, new or slightly used cages with little to no rust.

Q: Are you allowed to take monetary donations?                                 

A: Yes we are able to take donations. We can take them via credit card, check, or you can go to PayPal and donate from there.

 We can provide a receipt for your donation upon request.
